The family-owned investment company Stommen Group is now building a new head office along the E4 outside Markaryd. The company today consists of eight furniture companies that will move into the new head office, which will truly be an office building beyond the ordinary.
With a clear vision to create Sweden's best meeting and workplace that includes a showroom, Sajt Arkitektstudio was hired to design the new office building, which will have a total area of 7,800 square meters. The office building will contain several unique and creative solutions. One of them is a large and light garden that you are greeted by when you enter the building and which gives a pleasant, open and welcoming feeling.
The roof in the light garden consists of glass, which is an exciting challenge for our customer, PMU, who both delivered and installed the roof. It is a large and heavy construction that is placed on the building at an angle, which gives an impressive view. A construction that sets high demands and demonstrates that those who carry out the assembly are competent and have extensive experience.
The entire construction and assembly of the roof was carried out by PMU. The size of the roof is over 20 meters in diameter and the weight is over 43 tonnes. For the roof construction, Peikko has supplied our BESISTA® compression and tension brace system.
One of the great advantages of BESISTA® is that it is a threaded system, which makes it adjustable. This has been an important project for Peikko, partly because the product is new in our range, but also because we were able to dimension and produce an optimal solution with tight delivery times that facilitated the customer's assembly process.
